Bloomz for Cities›Cities Cost Worksheet
Cost consolidation worksheet

What is your city paying for, system by system?

List each system from your invoices. See what the stack adds up to, and get a quote for one subscription against that total.

Tick each kind of software your city pays for and type its annual cost from your invoices or budget, adding up every vendor in that row. Population helps us size your quote.

Optional: the costs that are not on an invoice

Separate systems mean separate resident lists, logins, trainings and contracts to keep current. If you know roughly how many staff hours a week that takes, add it here. We show it on its own and keep it out of the stack total.

The worksheet goes with this form, so there is nothing to retype. We reply with a written quote, row by row.

Your numbers stay in this browser until you send them. Platform pricing starts in the low thousands per year; optional modules and the branded app are quoted per city, and Utility Insights is priced per meter monitored. Product names are trademarks of their owners and are listed as examples only.

Where the savings come from

Several contracts become one subscription.

One subscription instead of a stack

Alerts, 311, agendas, records, recreation and payments run from one control panel. Your quote lists exactly which modules are included.

No per-resident or per-message fees

Residents, messages and reports are not metered, so growth does not raise the bill.

Price ranges up front

Ranges on the pricing page, the exact figure on a short call. Budget before the first meeting.

250+ languages, both ways

Translation is included, and residents can reply in their own language.

One resident list

One household import, one set of staff logins and one training, instead of one per system.

Sized to your bid threshold

Individual modules usually fall under a state's formal-bid threshold; the full bundle with the app build may not. Confirm yours with your purchasing office.

Before your next renewal

Seven ways to cut the city's software bill.

Worth doing whichever vendor you choose.

1
Put every renewal date on one calendar
Auto-renewals with 60 to 90 day notice windows keep unused systems alive. Diary the notice date.
2
Pay for who actually uses it
Ask each vendor for active-user and usage reports before renewal.
3
Find department-level purchases
Departments often buy their own tools on a card. Collect the list once a year.
4
Count the overlaps
An alert system, a newsletter tool and a city app often send the same message three ways.
5
Line up end dates
Consolidation is easiest at one renewal. Align terms when you sign.
6
Ask for a multi-year price lock
A yearly increase compounds. Get every year's price in writing.
7
Check cooperative purchasing
A cooperative or state contract can save a full bid where your policy allows it.
FAQ

About the worksheet.

Why doesn't the worksheet show a Bloomz figure?
Bloomz for Cities publishes price ranges, not a price list, because city size and the add-ons you choose change the number. The worksheet totals what you pay today; send it and the quote comes back against that total, row by row.
Is anything I type sent to Bloomz?
No. The worksheet runs in your browser and remembers your numbers on this device only. Nothing reaches us unless you fill in the form.
Why are staff hours kept separate?
Because they are your estimate, not an invoice. We show them on their own so you can decide whether to put them in front of council.
Can I take this to council?
Yes. Print it or save it as a PDF from the results panel.

Bring your budget. We'll show you what fits.
