A personal pain point became a mission.
Bloomz founder Chaks Appalabattula was diagnosed with a rare inflammatory disease. In a difficult stroke of timing, his wife also developed health problems simultaneously. With both parents ill, their young children had no one to help transport them to school, and the family had no connections with other parents or teachers who could step in.
His daughter, who had recently moved to a new school for a gifted student program, was being bullied. Unable to cope alone, and not sharing with her parents due to the family situation, she slowly withdrew from academics. This was only revealed after his nine-month recovery.
He experienced firsthand the isolation and impact that comes from a lack of communication. This profound experience ignited his commitment to create a platform that empowers every family.
