CivicRec and RecDesk are built around the rec department. Bloomz Recreation handles programs, registration, waitlists, rosters and facility booking, and the same app also tells registrants about a rained-out game and takes their fees.
Paid registrations charge through Bloomz City Payments, the same ledger finance uses for permits and other city fees, with no per-resident charges.
Both vendors list memberships and front-desk tools. Bloomz Recreation does not do memberships, punch cards or point-of-sale today, so a department that sells them at a counter should weigh that.
Paid and free programs show how many spots are left.
Because registrations sit on the same resident and household record as everything else, a family registers once, pays in the app and hears about schedule changes through the channel and language they chose.
A paid program creates a charge on the resident's account and settles on the same ledger as other city fees. Cancelling an unpaid registration voids its invoice, and an already-paid one is flagged for a refund instead of being written off.
Program pages, confirmations and schedule alerts translate into 250+ languages, so the Spanish-speaking family finds the swim lessons too.

Dedicated recreation software earns its place when the department runs memberships, punch cards, league play and a front-desk counter, and both CivicRec and RecDesk list those tools.
