Upload a GeoJSON or KML file, review a preview of the neighborhoods it would create, and apply it. Any error blocks the apply, so a bad file cannot half-load. Boundaries can be drawn or edited afterward in Manage, under the Neighborhood Map tab.
Placement comes from the sign-up address, the roster import, a Find my neighborhood button on the device or a pick on a map. An address that cannot be matched with confidence is never guessed: it goes on a Needs placement list for staff. A placement an administrator makes by hand always wins, and a household moves together.
Use the utility or parcel register the city already has.
When you write an alert, choose Neighborhood groups as recipients and the post carries an Affected area chip. On your website, a Find my neighborhood box returns the neighborhood name for an address and stores nothing.
Placement follows the address and your boundaries. Addresses that cannot be matched with confidence are listed for staff to place by hand rather than guessed.
Geocoding uses the US Census geocoder, so addresses should be US addresses.
Neighborhood boundaries are what alerts target. You pick neighborhoods, not a shape drawn for each alert.
A short call focused on your city's size, your priorities and the systems you use today, not a generic pitch.
